Harris SAVES

COVID-19 is a new strain of virus that has spread from Asia to North America. It's more deadly than other strains and can even be deadly for people with strong immune systems. The CDC recommends anyone who comes into contact with someone infected should get tested right away, but many people don't know where they can go to find out if they've been exposed. Harris Saves was created by UTHealth School of Public Health in partnership with Baylor College of Medicine & Harris County Public Health to inform the public about where and how to get COVID-19 testing.

Take Care Texas

If you live in Texas and think that you might have been exposed to COVID-19, it is important to get tested. The longer a person waits after exposure, the harder it can be for their body to fight off the virus. Early detection of COVID-19 significantly increases your chances of survival. Take Care Texas was created by local health care professionals who wanted to make sure that those at risk know where they can go for free testing with no wait time or appointment necessary. We also want everyone in our community to know about what this deadly disease does so we’ve included information on symptoms and how people are infected as well as a tool kit for communities looking to start programs like ours here in Texas.
